After graduating in history from Peterhouse, Cambridge, Lawrence Bernstein worked in banking. In 2006, a friend asked for help with a best man speech. This opportunity to unleash the frustrated writer within him was a catalyst. He started to offer a speech-writing service in his spare time and after four years he gave up the city to build a speech-writing business. He then founded Great Speech Writing & Communications, which pulls together strategic advisory services and coaching alongside a speech-writing team. He stays involved in every part of the business and remains true to his belief that all great communication is relevant, clear and empathetic.
