Jonathan Reimer is a pioneering incident commander and emergency manager working to improve high impact decision-making. He has led response operations on hundreds of emergencies across Canada, including its most destructive wildfire and costliest disaster. He is a former director of British Columbia’s Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre and served on a National Incident Management team. He is a published researcher and featured speaker on the art and science of high-stakes judgement. He advises fire services, wildfire agencies and emergency management organizations, and founded Emergent Risk Management to build innovative science-practitioner partnerships.
