In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx OIS Youth proudly presents our theme this year: "Catalyse", a dynamic concept that embodies the spark necessary to ignite meaningful change and create a lasting impact. It reflects the process of accelerating progress, whether through bold ambitions or innovative ideas, and underscores the potential within individuals and organisations to drive global transformation.

Anurag Vaish

CEO at Mentza
With more than 20 years of expertise in cognitive science, Anurag specialises in creating behavioural change. His specialty is using cognitive principles and non-conscious design to assist people in comprehending and developing their own "confidence code." Using a combination of cognitive science insights and useful strategies, Anurag will lead the audience through the process of creating their own confidence frameworks. By sharing his cutting-edge AI-based soft skill assessment tool, which is utilized by Jaipur University and IIT-Delhi, he will support the event's "Catalyse" theme by enabling people to change their self-perception and discover new opportunities for personal development.

Mahek Vyas

Conservation Activist
Mahek, a fervent lover of wildlife, was raised among Mumbai's jungles and later worked as an animal activist for several non-governmental organizations. A life-changing wildlife expedition at the age of 18 sparked an adventure that would influence her future and a strong bond with nature. Since then, she has grown quite passionate with snakes, learning a great deal about them and developing a unique relationship with them. She has hosted many wildlife enthusiasts in India's woods as co-owner of 'Hiss and Croak', a wildlife tourism company, which has improved her knowledge of tigers, other animals, and local communities. As one of the top young naturalists in the field, Mahek is a gifted wildlife photographer who has been highlighted by NatGeo on their social media channels.

Preethi Srinivasan

Former Captain, Tamil Nadu Women's Cricket Team
At the age of 18, Preethi, a former captain of the Tamil Nadu women's cricket team's Under-19 squad, guided her state to the national championships in 1997. After an accident left her quadriplegic, her life took an unexpected turn, but she turned the hardship into a purpose. She has been bringing about change by spreading awareness and providing support to survivors throughout India as the co-founder of 'Soulfree', a nonprofit devoted to the restoration, rehabilitation, and reintegration of people with spinal cord injuries. She will discuss how she overcame personal obstacles to empower others and promote an inclusive society in her talk, which will highlight her inspirational resilience story.

Rayhaan Heredia

Student, Oberoi International School-JVLR
Rayhaan is an inspiring Grade 10 student who has struggled with achromatopsia since birth. His path and perspective on life have been significantly impacted by this illness, which impairs his capacity to sense colour and light. Drawing on his experiences overcoming cultural views and biases, Rayhaan uses his personal story to try and shed light on issues of marginalisation and discrimination. He highlights adaptation and resilience rather than just the challenges, demonstrating how he has used his illness as a source of strength. His narrative inspires more understanding and empathy in society while empowering others to face obstacles head-on with a positive outlook and a strong sense of resolve.

Srikanth Viswanathan

CEO -Janaagraha & Director- Jana Urban Space Foundation
Drikanth is the chief executive officer of the non-profit Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, which is headquartered in Bengaluru and works to enhance the standard of living in Indian cities and towns. In addition, he is the director of the Jana Urban Space Foundation, which focuses on urban planning and design. He is a prominent proponent of "city-systems" reforms who collaborates with governments and constitutional organizations to spark long-term changes in urban governance. Since joining Janaagraha in 2011, he has been leading significant urban change with more than 20 years of experience as a chartered accountant and proficiency in banking and auditing.

Varun Duggirala

Author & Chief Creative Officer, Emomee
Varun is a children's book author, bestselling author, and creative entrepreneur who is enthusiastic about turning life's messiness into lessons that have purpose. As Emomee's co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, he uses creative playkits and captivating storytelling to assist parents and kids in developing critical life skills like emotional intelligence. Varun examines teachings on curiosity, growth, and leadership in his books and podcast "Take a Pause", providing insights that can motivate kids and adults alike. One of the most well-known business podcasts in India, "Advertising Is Dead," is hosted by Varun who is also the co-founder and content leader of The Glitch, an independent creative agency with its headquarters in Mumbai.
