In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

KARTHIK SUNDAR GUBBI

Mr. Karthik Sundar Gubbi, better known by his stage name "Gubbi" is an Indian multilingual rapper, lyricist and a composer from Bengaluru who raps in Kannada, English, Hindi and German. Gubbi is the first generation of rappers from Bengaluru. His foundation in rap was built from 2007 on text rap battles that were popular on social media sites. In the year 2011 he wrote his first Kannada-English rap which was just an experiment that evolved to be his style, to switch between the languages. His inspirations being EMINEM and J.Cole, his content vary from serious conscious rap to comical renditions on south Indian beats. He has worked and performed with all different kinds of musicians varying from Violinist, Carnatic musicians, folk singers and even movie music directors.

PURNIMA GOKHALE

A Postgraduate in Solid State Physics, an entrepreneur, a wildlife conservationist. Ms. Purnima Gokhale is a Technical Writer, who is currently working with IBM Software Labs, managing a team of writers and has worked across various domains such as networking, telecom, storage, database management, API management, digital business platform to name a few. But the passion of her life is mountaineering. A certified mountaineer, Ms. Purnima is a Member of Karnataka Mountaineering Association since 2008. She has completed more than 20 Himalayas journeys in the last decade. She has scaled famous summits like Stok Kangri, Kilimajaro, Mt Yunam, Kalindi Khal to name a few. She had the privilege to trek on the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battle field, and hoist the Indian Tricolour alongside the Indian Army on Aug 15, 2024.

TEJASWI ANANTH

Tejaswi Ananth is a professional entertainer with over 15 years of experience. Having performed in more than 1300 shows across five countries, Mr Tejaswi has captivated a wide range of audience with his unique blend of juggling, comedy, and multitasking prowess From rola bola to magic, his performances leave a lasting impact on his mesmerized viewers. Featured in more than 10 TV shows, including "The Kapil Sharma Show," Tejaswi has appeared in over 10 advertisements. TIMOTHY FRANKLYN

Founder of the National School of Journalism and Public Discourse, Bengaluru and the Bengaluru School of Law and Justice, Mr. Timothy Franklyn is a corporate partner in the law firm, Tatva Legal. With a Master degree in Law from the London School of Economics, he is qualified as an advocate in India and as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. Mr Franklyn was one of the 11 leaders from around the world chosen for the prestigious Obama Scholars at Columbia University in 2021. He is an international capital market lawyer having worked at the global law firms Jones Day, Allen & Overy and DLA Piper. A sports enthusiast, a music lover, Mr Timothy believes in the mantra, "Live life to the fullest."
