Emily Alexander

Student Speaker
Through her work with EDUkraineLA, Emily has seen how language can bridge gaps and create opportunities. Emily hopes to explores how children around the world adapt to language learning in unique ways, highlighting its role in connection and resilience.

Nancy Javkhlan

Student Speaker
Nancy Javkhlan is a senior at Granada Hills Charter High School. She is a leader in her school community, holding positions as the varsity debate and track & field captain. She has had a passion for speech and debate for over 7 years. She was recognized as the International Public Speaking Competition Champion by the English Speaking Union representing Mongolia. She is committed to creating change for women through speech.

Odeh Hilo

Odeh is an International Baccalaureate student in 11th grade. He has a passion for finance and helping others achieve their goals through hard work. By educating himself and taking small steps, Odeh realized that anyone can build confidence, no matter their starting point.

Om Patel

Student Speaker
Om Patel is an 11th-grade student passionate about the intersection of science and public health. His interest in preventive health comes from seeing how small, consistent habits can influence long-term well-being, both in his community and through his work with Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP). Whether through research, advocacy, or daily routines, Om believes proactive health choices can create lasting positive change.

Pravika Veen

Pravika is a highly involved and achieved student currently in the 11th grade. As a student, she has experienced burnout and found out that several of her peers also experience this! Pravika hopes to help her peers prioritize themselves while being an excelling student.

Sophie Mamyan

Sophie is a junior in highschool with a passion for helping others. She loves helping others reach their goals and stay motivated through her leadership positions in a variety of organizations and clubs. Sophie hopes to give back to her community through public speaking and advocacy.

TirenimiOLUWA Akindele

TirenimiOLUWA is a 10th grade student who is proud of her African culture. She has grown up with a passion for music. TirenimiOLUWA is fascinated in exploring the intersection between music and her African culture.

Zachary Prasad

Zachary is a Sophomore at Granada Hills Charter High School who has always had an interest in ancient history and their languages. He is interested in learning how language evolves over the course of human history.
