In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Heetal Patel

Heetal Patel, inspired by her sister’s experience with hearing impairment, began her journey in deaf education as a volunteer at the Oral School for Deaf Children in Kolkata. She holds a B. Com degree and advanced qualifications in deaf education, including a diploma and a master’s from Columbia University. As a co-founder of Raah Speech and Language Therapy Centre, she works as a language therapist for young children with hearing impairments and special needs, continually advancing her skills to empower the disabled community.

Hemant Soreng

Adventurer

Hemant Soreng is an adventurer, author, documentary filmmaker, entrepreneur and founder of Rustik Travel, a sustainable experiential travel company. He is an ironman triathlon finisher and a mountaineer who has summited the tallest peak in the world, Mt Everest. An electronics engineer from DCE and MBA from IIM Bangalore he has a background in technology and marketing. He transitioned from the corporate world to follow his passion for outdoor exploration. In this transition he has earned laurels that very few have.

Omkar Pandharkame is a distinguished leader in the AI and entrepreneurship space, serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Supervity AI, a cutting-edge AI Agents working with Governments and Fortune 500 Companies. With a dual role as Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Incubation Centre at ATLAS Skilltech University, Omkar has trained over 60,000 students in entrepreneurship, design thinking, and technology. He has collaborated with more than 3,000 educators, supporting them in crafting forward-thinking educational curriculum.

Ms Shamita was crowned Femina Miss Earth India 2001 and later competed in Miss Earth 2001, where she was one of the semifinalists. After walking the ramp and being the face of many lifestyle brands, she started her own luxury brand management company called ‘Onesoul Lifestyle Promotions’, which has carved a niche for itself in the Fashion, Events, marketing and PR business. Her enthusiasm for luxury and lifestyle has led her to add another vertical in this company, that offers social media solutions in addition to executing upscale events, to help build as well as position brands correctly through digital marketing.

Introducing Sneha Desai, a dynamic presence in Indian theatre, television, and film with over 22 years in media and storytelling. With a foundation in Sales & Marketing from NMIM.S., she has built an impressive career spanning multiple creative fields. Sneha’s stage work includes over 1,200 shows at renowned theatres like NCPA, and her play Code Mantra was recognised among BBC’s top 10 Indian plays of 2015. Also a versatile writer, Sneha’s Marathi play ‘Safarchand’ won the Rajya Natya Puraskar in 2023. She currently writes the highly popular television shows WAGLE KI DUNIYA and Pushpa Impossible both of which have clocked over 750 episodes and her silver screen work includes films Maharaj and India’s Oscar-nominated Laapata Ladies.
