In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alice Pisani

Alice Pisani is an Italian cosmologist and principal investigator of the ERC (European Research Council) grant COSMOBEST. After working as a researcher and professor at Princeton University, at the Flatiron Institute and at the Cooper Union (US), she has, since 2024, joined the Center for Particle Physics in Marseille (France) with a CNRS position and obtained a Chaire d'Excellence at Aix-Marseille-University. Alice is a pioneer in the extraction of cosmological constraints from cosmic voids observed by modern surveys and she leads research from modern large-scale structure data sets.

Cătălin Pavel

Cătălin Pavel is a Romanian writer and archaeologist, currently an Associate Professor of Archaeology, habilitated at the Ovidius University in Constanța, Romania, who has worked on excavations in Troy, Gordion and Volubilis. He is known for his French novel “La septième partie du monde” (2017) and particularly for his Italian book of essays, “L’Archeologia dell’amore. Dal Neanderthal al Taj Mahal” (2022), which discusses how we can reconstruct past love from material culture.

Cora Gasparotti

Dancer, choreographer, and researcher, her work leads her to experiment with new technologies to rethink dance in educational, creative, and performative fields. After academic training in classical and contemporary dance, she fell in love with the Digital Humanities, a discipline she has cultivated alongside her artistic pursuits as a researcher at the Centro Casa Paganini InfoMus in Genoa. Since 2022, she has traveled the world, both real and digital, dancing and promoting reflections on the relationship between humans and technology and the fusion of art and science.

Dante Muratore

Professor of Bioelectronics at Delft University of Technology, where he leads the Smart Brain Interfaces group. His research group explores hardware and system solutions for brain-computer interfaces capable of interacting with the nervous system. The group is working, in collaboration with leading universities in the field, on a microchip to be implanted in the retina to improve the lives of people affected by retinitis pigmentosa and degenerative maculopathy.

Emily Adlam

Emily Adlam is a philosopher of physics working on the foundations of quantum mechanics and the philosophy of time. She did a PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Cambridge and was a postdoctoral associate at the University of Western Ontario before moving to Chapman University. She is the author of the textbook Foundations of Quantum Mechanics and winner of the Blaumann’s prize 2023.

Fabrizio D'Adda

Fabrizio d'Adda di Fagagna is a molecular and cell biologist who devoted his professional life to the understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying aging and cancer. Fabrizio leads a team of brilliant researchers studying the connection between DNA damage and diseases. The team has identified the main cause of several aging-related diseases in the loss of telomere integrity and has developed a strategy to control this process for therapeutic purposes. He has been published in many scientific journals and won several prizes, such as the EACR Young Cancer Researcher Award in 2009.

Frediano Finucci

Journalist with a 30-year career divided between Milan, Brussels and Rome, in which his efforts have focused on the interpretation of relations between states, prioritizing historical, economic and especially technological aspects. Author of the essay "Operation Satellite", as disruptive as it was anticipatory, on the skirmishes in space between the United States and Russia over Ukraine. He is currently the head of the economic and foreign news at Tg La7, where he also hosts the program Omnibus in the weekend edition.

Luigi Nicolini

Luigi Nicolini studied piano and composition in Paris. Over the years, he has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in the most important European centers. He is a composer of melodic, sacred, symphonic and operatic music. He has been pianist and head of the vocal section in many RAI television programs and in 2019 he released the CD "Momento", in which he arranged and performed on piano famous film soundtracks and pieces of his own composition. He recently released the albums "Time lapse" and "Passion", composed with Alessandro La Vela.

Nadia Morozova

Nadia is an award-winning analytics and insights expert with around 15 years of international experience from working in large multinational companies. Nadia currently holds the position of Chief Analytics & Insights Officer at Enriched Insights and the focus of her work is to support companies in implementing strategies that focus on customers and consumers by connecting academic and consumer research. In the midst of the age of consumerism, Dr. Morozova’s role is to reconstruct and transform business functions and market strategies, thanks to her keen long-term vision and understanding of the modern consumer.

Padre Guidalberto Bormolini

Padre Guidalberto’s story begins in his youth, when he became acquainted with meditation and entered a Christian community, in order to live the monastic ideals and become a priest. After graduating in Theology and specialising in Theological Anthropology, he now also works as a spiritual assistant outside the Church, for those “who have long lost their way, for those who cannot bear the pains of existence” as Franco Battiato sings. In addition to teaching several master’s courses, collaborating on numerous projects and writing, Padre Guidalberto is currently working on the reconstruction of the village “Tutto è vita”, an abandoned village that he wants to transform into a place of integral healing (body, psyche and spirit) through meditation.

Selim Ünlüsoy

Global Head of A.I. at LePub, he leads a multi-disciplinary team of creators that produces work that goes beyond advertising. Selim has always been interested in studying the relationship between humans and machines, with a specific focus on behavioral engineering and synthetic creation. His career, marked by numerous speeches on the impact of artificial intelligence, has earned him over 100 international and local awards, including the prestigious Innovation Lion, and several publications, such as Fast Company and Beaux Arts Magazine.

Viviana Lucarini
