Aien Shah

Aien Shah; started his career as a primary school teacher back in mid 90s. He served within the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) at various positions including teacher, Teacher Educator, Head of Field Education Office, Manager Academics and School Operations and Director academic affairs. He is currently serving as Head of Education at the Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, P), one of the large non-for-profit school systems functioning in the region since 1905, and is responsible to provide overall academic leadership in areas of school development, curriculum development and management, teacher education, teaching-learning, student assessment, monitoring, evaluation and research. He is recipient of Director’s Award for academic excellence from Notre Dame Institute of Education, Karachi.
Amina Sheikh
Actress/Storyteller
Aamina Sheikh, an American Pakistani actress and songwriter, has recently expanded her creative endeavours to include storytelling for children. Through her Instagram and YouTube channels, she narrates stories that aim to educate and inspire young audiences. She collaborates with various YouTube channels to bring stories to life. She worked with MeissaMama to narrate "Mr. Gamal's Gratitude Glasses," a story teaching child to view the world through a lens of gratitude. In addition to storytelling, Aamina participates in podcasts discussing different topics.

Baela Raza Jamil is the CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) Centre for Education and Consciousness. She is also the founder of the Children’s and Teachers’ Literature Festivals in Pakistan, which has evolved into a social movement known as the Pakistan Learning Festival. Baela Jamil is the sole Pakistani finalist shortlisted for the World Education Medals, recognizing her remarkable contributions to education. Her work with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and Sanjan Nagar School has significantly impacted Pakistan’s education system, reaching over 20 million children and hundreds of teachers. She leads the Learning initiative of ASER Pakistan and the foundational learning program Chalo Parho Barho (CPB)/Teaching at the Right Level (TARL). Baela represents Pakistan as an advisor and board member for education and learning innovations at national and global levels.

Fizza Hasan

Fizza Hasan is the founder and artistic director of Theatre Wallay, a theatre company based in Islamabad, Pakistan and active since 2005.
As Artistic Director, Fizza manages all the company’s major projects; she provides leadership and guidance, deals with proposal and report writing and handles the programming, administration and finances of all big productions. She also works on establishing collaborations with sponsors and other organizations. Over the years she has directed numerous plays for the company, and also occasionally acts. Fizza is an ISPA Global Fellow for 2024. By profession a teacher of English Literature and French, and a teacher trainer, Fizza has also been teaching in Islamabad for more than 25 years now, and has extensive experience in teacher training. She is also currently the lead content creator for the Beaj Education English language learning app.
Neda Mulji

Neda Mulji is working with OUP as Senior Manager, Professional Development and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK. Before joining OUP, Neda has taught communication skills and English courses for several years as a university lecturer in Dubai and English as a Foreign Language in London, UK. She has a BSc (Hons.) from LUMS, MA in Postcolonial Studies – Literature and Culture from Goldsmiths, University of London, a Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGC-HE) from Middlesex University. Neda is a columnist for Dawn on topics in education and has authored a book on parenting, titled ‘The Love Connection’, published by Austin Macauley, UK. She has also written a children’s story called ‘Little Jimmy’, published by OUP. Neda is a certified workplace coach with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
