The overarching theme of our TEDx event revolves around 'Mindscapes,' inviting our audience to explore the vast and intricate landscapes of the mind. The main point we hope listeners take away from these talks is a profound appreciation for the power of the human mind in shaping perspectives, fostering creativity, and driving positive change. We aspire for our audience to gain new insights into the diverse ways individuals navigate the landscapes of their minds, finding inspiration to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and intellectual exploration.

Abdurrahman Koçak

Founding partner and manager at Rotatelab A.Ş.

Abdurrahman Koçak, a Master's Computer Engineer, founded Diff Technology and developed projects in the fields of software, automation, web and game programming. It has implemented the “Projey” process management system with the support of TÜBİTAK 1512. He provided training on subjects such as entrepreneurship, digital game design and marketing, and supported many startups as a TÜBİTAK accredited mentor. He currently serves as a founding partner and manager at Rotatelab A.Ş.

Bahattin Aydıngüler

Güler Synthetic Sack A.Ş. General Manager

Bahattin Aydıngüler graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration and started his business life at VestelNET. After working as a sales manager at Vestel Information Technologies, he started his entrepreneurial journey by establishing Tatika Domestic and Foreign Trade and exporting to more than 20 countries. He founded Güler Sentetik Çuval A.Ş. in 2010 and served as general manager, and he still serves as a board member in Güler Group of Companies. He is married and has three children.

Beste Özmimar

Partner and project manager at TAAF Media

Beste Özmimar is a graduate of Istanbul Aydın University, Public Relations and Advertising, and a partner and project manager at TAAF Media. He is experienced in project management, strategic planning and brand development. While conveying information to the sector at events, he mentors young talents.

Doç.Dr.İbrahim Çütcü

Hasan Kalyoncu University faculty member

İbrahim Çütcü is a faculty member at Hasan Kalyoncu University and received the title of associate professor in 2020. Çütcü, a graduate of KTÜ Economics, completed his master's and doctorate at Gaziantep University and specialized in economics, innovation and foreign trade. He took part in TÜBİTAK and EU projects, published articles in national and international journals, and won academic awards. He continues to present his studies on economic growth, environment and trade relations at international conferences.

Dr. Süleyman Tunç

Electronics and Communications Engineer, Founder of Earthquake Early Warning System Edis Technology

Dr. Süleyman Tunç is an Electronics and Communications Engineer who completed his education at Yıldız Technical University and earned a master's degree from Kocaeli University. He began his career at Kocaeli University and later worked at Boğaziçi University's Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute. Since 2016, he has served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sentez Yer ve Yapı Mühendisliği and Edis Disaster and Earthquake Systems. Dr. Tunç has played key roles in important projects like the Marmara Earthquake Early Warning System, Marmaray Monitoring System, and Eurasia Tunnel Monitoring System. He specializes in disaster management and earthquake systems technologies and has made significant contributions in these areas in Turkey. Dr. Tunç is married and has one child.

Dr.Mustafa Batuhan Kurtoğlu

Clinical Psychologist

Mustafa Batuhan Kurtoğlu was born in Gaziantep. After graduating from Gazi University, Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department in 2004, he worked as a psychological counselor at Gaziantep Şahinbey Guidance and Research Center for 10 years. He received his master's degree in 2011 and graduated from Hasan Kalyoncu University Clinical Psychology Doctorate Program in 2019. Since 2015, he has been working as a faculty member at Hasan Kalyoncu University, conducting academic studies on trauma, anxiety disorders and self-compassion.

Dr.Turgay Bozoğlu

Economist

Dr. Turgay Bozoğlu graduated from Ankara University in Economics and completed his master's degree in Business Administration and Finance at Southern New Hampshire University. In his career, which he started as an Accountant at the Ministry of Finance, he served as Chief Tax Inspector, Deputy Mayor of Çankaya Municipality, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İzdeniz and General Manager of ESHOT. Currently Metro A.Ş. He is a Board Member and President of VAVEK. In his academic career, he gave lectures at Bilkent, TOBB ETÜ and Işık Universities and represented Turkey in international financial meetings. He is married and has two children.

İsmail Tamer Taşkın

Honorary Consul General of the Republic of South Africa in Izmir

İsmail Tamer Taşkın, born in 1951, is a textile engineer and the founder of PETROFER Endüstri Yağlar Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. He currently serves as the Chairman of PETROFER's Board of Directors and has been the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of South Africa in Izmir since 1992. He served as the President of the Honorary Consuls Association, President of the Çeşme Sailing Club, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EBSO and Coordinator of DEIK Turkish-African Business Councils. He is also a Board Member of KalDer and TAYSAD. He is married and has two children.

Özgür Karakaya

Sound Engineer Arranger

Özgür Karakaya started his artistic journey in the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra Children's Choir. Karakaya, who graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Conservatory Piano Department and Sound Engineering, took part in audio and visual fields in domestic and international projects in the media sector. He continues to produce innovative projects by combining art and technology with OKWORX MEDIA, which he founded.

Şeyma Akkurt

Şeyma Akkurt Born on August 15, 1988, Şeyma Akkurt graduated from Yeditepe University, Department of Mathematics Teaching with honors. He continues his academic career by completing his master's degree in Mathematics and Science Education at Boğaziçi University. After the training, he worked as a corporate project manager around the world, and then said goodbye to corporate life to learn his own brands with his passion for entrepreneurship. Şeyma Akkurt has a children's clothing brand ilo +friends and an adult clothing brand Mama in Love. An adult and a children's book were also published. There is an ongoing podcast series called "I've Been Here Before". Şeyma Akkurt lives in Istanbul with her two children.
