Gulshan A Boys Campus of The City School, situated in Karachi, is the first ever O’level institution across all school networks to have acquired the license to organize an independent TED event. The first edition of TEDxYouth@TCSGCA was successfully held on February 17th, 2023, and we are now hosting our second edition. The event is scheduled as an evening program happening on Saturday, 16th of November 2024

TEDxYouth@TCSGCA is focused on bringing together bright minds to deliver talks that are idea-focused and span a wide range of subjects relevant to Generation Z, such as entrepreneurship, technology, arts, motivation, and social service. Our goal is to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder, and to provoke conversations that matter.

Ahmed Saya

Educationist and Motivational Speaker

A visionary educator and mentor, Ahmed Saya has transformed the lives of over 25,000 students and trained more than 2,000 teachers throughout his illustrious career. As the co-author of the official O Level Mathematics course book and founder of The Bridge School, he’s dedicated to bridging educational gaps in Pakistan. Mr. Saya is also the COO of Reveal Pakistan, guiding youth towards informed career choices through psychometric testing.

Badshah Kazmi

Alumni/Computer Engineer

He is a software engineer at a US-based firm and an honors graduate in Computer Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Badshah embodies the odyssey of an international student navigating new horizons. In his talk, "Finding Home Away from Home: The Struggle of an International Student," he will share his personal experiences and insights on the challenges and triumphs of adapting to life in a foreign land. With a heart for music and a deep curiosity for new experiences, Badshah's journey is a testament to resilience and the search for belonging.

Jibran Jamshad

Leading Microsoft Education in Central Asia

With over a decade of experience at Microsoft, Mr. Jibran Jamshad currently serves as the Regional Education Lead CIS and Principal Officer for Microsoft Pakistan. Armed with a Masters in Software Systems Engineering from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from CBM Pakistan, Sir Jibran's expertise has earned him the prestigious Microsoft World Wide Circle of Excellence Award. At TEDxYouth, he’ll be speaking on "The Human-AI Partnership: Building a Symbiotic Future," exploring how AI can enhance our human capabilities and shape a future of endless possibilities.
